CANLogoHelp give kids the voice they deserve

When you join Children's Advocacy Network, we will keep you up-to-date on what Children's Hospital of Wisconsin is doing to help children and families and how you can get involved. You'll receive updates on our activities, learn about opportunities to contact your legislators, or be asked to participate in community events.

We’ll keep you up-to-date on our policy work and what we’re doing to help children and families. We’ll also let you know when we need your help.

What does it take to be a good advocate?

  • An interest in improving the health and well-being of children and families by positively impacting public policy in a way that is sensitive to the needs of children.
  • A willingness to communicate with local, state and federal lawmakers about issues that are important to children and families.

In the words of an advocate

“I feel a responsibility to advocate on behalf of kids to make sure we keep policies moving forward for them. I use my voice and my story to help legislators understand the importance of these issues.” – Jen Johnson, CAN member and mother of a Children's Hospital of Wisconsin patient.
