I was born and raised in Germany, and after high school I came to the US as an au pair to care for two year-old quadruplets. It was during this time that I discovered my passion for medicine while also volunteering at a local hospital. Upon returning to Germany I attended Charitè Universitätsmedizin Berlin, one of the largest and most respected medical schools in Europe. I have always loved children and during my first pediatrics course I knew this field was my calling. After graduating from medical school I completed my residency at the University of Louisville at Kosair Children’s Hospital. During my training I enjoyed many subspecialties, though I ultimately decided to pursue a career in primary care so that I could continue to take care of the general needs of all children. I center my visits around the child and I encourage them to actively participate in the visit. As a mother myself, I believe that we all are partners with the same goal: a healthy and happy child that will grow up to be a healthy and happy adult. I truly love my profession, and I would greatly appreciate the opportunity to work with you and your family.
