Women’s Health Week
National Women’s Health Week is an observance led by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office on Women’s Health. The goal is to empower women to make their health a priority.
Understand what steps you can take to improve your health:
- Stay on top your preventive screenings. These screenings catch things like breast cancer, cervical cancer, osteoporosis and diabetes.
- Get moving.
- Eat healthy.
- Pay attention to mental health, including getting enough sleep and managing stress.
- Avoid unhealthy behaviors, such as smoking, texting while driving and not wearing a seatbelt or bicycle helmet.
