Julie lives well to tackle her bucket list

Julie2_nb_051216For Certified Genetic Counselor Julie McCarrier, living well means taking time for herself to be active year round. An avid cyclist, Julie makes it a priority to get out and ride at least four times a week (and on her indoor trainer when riding outside isn’t possible in the winter).

“Although working with medically complex patients can often be stressful, participating in regular exercise is a good way to reduce that stress and keep me healthy and ready to give my all at work,” Julie says.

Julie’s commitment to the activity she loves also helps her achieve her personal goals. For example, she’s training for her second “Ride Across Wisconsin” in August. The 175-mile ride begins in Dubuque, Iowa and follows scenic roads across southern Wisconsin, all the way to Simmons Island Beach in Kenosha.
