MILWAUKEE – Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin announced that more than 15,000 people participated in Briggs & Al’s Run & Walk the morning of Saturday, Sept. 17, raising more than $1 million for Children’s Hospital.
In its 39-year history, Briggs & Al’s Run & Walk has raised more than $19 million through gifts and pledges. Money raised goes to support Children’s Hospital’s research, advocacy, care and education efforts throughout the state.Read More

All-Star Charity Football Game returns July 16

OSHKOSH - The 2016 Wisconsin Football Coaches Association All-Star Charity Football Games benefiting Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin will take place at J. J. Keller Field at Titan Stadium at the UW-Oshkosh campus on Saturday, July 16. Kick-off for eight-man football will be at 10 a.m., Divisions 4-7 will be held at 2 p.m., followed by the teams for Divisions 1-3 taking the field at 6 p.m.

MILWAUKEE - Thanks to the generous support of Milwaukee’s Hometown Rock 96.5 WKLH listeners and donors throughout Southeast Wisconsin, The 19th annual WKLH Miracle Marathon for Children’s Hospital raised $1,134,985. WKLH broadcast the 36-hour radiothon live from Children’s Hospital May 26-27. The radiothon is Children’s Hospital’s highest grossing fundraiser and has raised more than $23 million since its inception in 1998.Read More
Greater Milwaukee Foundation grants $1.25M to Children’s to tackle childhood asthma

Milwaukee – The Greater Milwaukee Foundation has awarded a $1.25 million grant to Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin aimed at reducing the health risks and economic burden of asthma on children in greater Milwaukee.
The Foundation’s funding is launching a five-year research project focused on identifying and reducing irritants in the home that trigger asthma symptoms. This work has the potential to improve health and decrease medical costs for people affected by asthma, especially children of color living in urban Milwaukee.

MILWAUKEE – Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony for its new, state-of-the-art sibling care room, Playroom of Hope, on Thursday, Sept. 17, at 3:30 p.m. in its new home on the hospital’s second floor. Playroom of Hope was made possible through the generous fundraising efforts of the Wallace family, whose daughter Nevaeh Wallace received care at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin before passing away from a severe heart defect.

MILWAUKEE (Sept. 10, 2015) – For 38 years, Briggs & Al’s Run & Walk for Children’s Hospital has drawn thousands of people to downtown Milwaukee to run, walk and fundraise in support of the top-tier care for kids that Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin provides locally, regionally and nationally. The event was founded in 1977 by legendary Marquette basketball coach Al McGuire and includes a USA Track & Field-certified 8K course and a 3- and 5-mile walk route with family-friendly entertainment.
